It is a rock solid saw that has lots of power and cutting volume. It has a lot of extras that help with setup. The laser leveler and digital output makes beveling and mitering a lot more accurate; you can easily figure out your angles.
The laser is a cakewalk to calibrate. It is housed above the pivot line of the saw. One *really* handy thing about it is it can be lit up with the saw off. Think about that for a moment: with other types of saws, if you want to adjust your position and use the laser as a guide, you will have to do it with a spinning blade.
